How can anyone vote for massive government and more and more taxes?

This is a pretty mind blowing question.  How can ANYONE willingly desire more government in their life and more taxes that will naturally trickle down and effect them… Somewhere down the line, there is an educational, rational, illogical, ignorant disconnect from history, human nature, and reality.

Whether your a national socialist or international socialist, communist or nazi, or just some sort of secular socialist (still a kind of communism or fascism, but anyway); where do they get the idea that socialism is even a good thing?

First, we need to understand what “socialism” is

so·cial·ism | \ ˈsō-shə-ˌli-zəm

1 : any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods

2a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property

b : a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state.

3 : a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done

So, according to human logic and language, Socialism is collectivist Totalitarianism and requires Authoritarian thinking.

to·tal·i·tar·i·an·ism | \ (ˌ)tō-ˌta-lə-ˈter-ē-ə-ˌni-zəm

1 : centralized control by an autocratic authority
2 : the political concept that the citizen should be totally subject to an absolute state authority

au·thor·i·tar·i·an | \ ȯ-ˌthȯr-ə-ˈter-ē-ən, ə-, -ˌthär-\

1 : of, relating to, or favoring blind submission to authority had authoritarian parents
2 : of, relating to, or favoring a concentration of power in a leader or an elite not constitutionally responsible to the people

For one, “blind submission to authority” is key here.  How do you even know these massive government programs and “taxing the rich” will even work?  What examples does ANYONE have supporting that claim?

Bam, right off the bat these blind submissive peons and peasants are quick to spit out “Nordic Countries”  But, why do that say this?  Do they even know how these countries operate or are they regurgitating what they have been told by their political overlords telling them how to think?

They spit out “Sweden, Norway, and Denmark” as if they know how those countries work.

Fact:  They are economically successful so far.
Fact:  They are not socialist.

A “welfare state” is not “a socialist state.”  The form of government-provided social safety net programs is not necessarily socialism.  These countries have capitalistic driven economies but with higher taxes to fund these social programs.  Socialism, by definition is where the GOVERNMENT controls means of production and distribution of goods produced.  That is not Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.  They have strict private property and intellectual rights; they practice free market economics to fund their entitlement programs.

But is also interesting, most of these “democratic socialists” idolize political dictators in Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.  All where socialism is a colossal failure.

Democratic Socialists who use Sweden, Norway, and Denmark as their argument, are ignorant of what “socialism” is and what a Welfare State is.  They either confuse the words, or purposefully “redefine” words in an attempt to make it seem not so bad; when it is, in fact, very bad.

Also, the Nordic countries were/are strictly free market capitalists before they erected the welfare programs.  The government did not create this wealth.  It was not the government benefits that created wealth, but wealth that allowed the luxury of such generous government programs.

Ready for blow some minds of “Democratic Socialists?”  NONE of those countries have minimum wage laws lol.  Yes they have unions to negotiate contracts but, at the end of the day, workers are paid what they are worth based on what the government perceives is fair, with the agreements of unions.

Here’s another trigger for “Democratic Socialists.”  Sweden has free and complete SCHOOL CHOICE.   The government provides families with vouchers for each child. These vouchers can be used to attend regular public schools, government-run charter schools, or private, for-profit schools.  Again, THE GOVERNMENT gives money for charter, private, and for-profit schools too!  [https://sweden.se/society/education-in-sweden/]

Another interesting tool is the Fraser Institute Economic Freedom Index.  Their elements include (1) personal choice, (2) voluntary exchange coordinated by markets, (3) freedom to enter and compete in markets, and (4) protection of persons and their property from aggression by others.  Check it out HERE

It is interesting to note that the nations that have actually implemented REAL socialism, all are NOT the “most free.” In fact, while Hong Kong and Singapore top the list and the U.S. ranks 12th, we can find the Nordic countries in quite respectable rankings. Denmark ranks 15, Finland 17, Norway 25, and Sweden 27. In terms of numerical scores, Sweden is only 5% lower than the U.S [1].

Since, their claims of “successful socialist countries” is, in fact, ignorantly false.  What REAL examples of REAL socialism do we have?

Well, the fruition of socialism is Communism or Fascism; totalitarianism.  Therefore we can consider current Socialist countries such as:  China, Cuba, Lao, North Korea, Venezuela, Uruguay, Ethiopia, and Vietnam an extreme from of socialism because it still fits the definition of it.

We can also look at historical socialist countries such as:  Albania, Belarus, Benin, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Congo, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Romania, Somalia, USSR, North Vietnam, South Yemen, and Yugoslavia.

How, lets look into the successes or lack there of, of REAL socialism/communism/nazism/fascism in practice.

The communist revolution in China and in the process of securing the parties control of the country lead to over 60 MILLION deaths.  The totalitarian state didn’t stop killing its own citizens then;  even at the Tiananmen Square protests, they mass killed their own people in the ’80s.  They may be an economic power house, but that’s because their citizens are essentially oppressed slaves for the state who produce goods for dirt cheap which they export to the rest of the world making a ton of cash.  Look at what is going on in Hong Kong…

Next we can look at Cuba.  LOL oh man, when Fidel Castro came to power, A LOT of people were murdered.  Widely respected University of Hawaii historian R. J. Rummel, reported in 1987 that credible estimates of the Castro regime’s death toll ran from 35,000 to 141,000, with a median of 73,000.  The largest number of deaths is believed to be those lost at sea trying to escape Cuba on makeshift rafts. For years, the Cuba Archive used an estimate worked up by Harvard-trained economist Armando Lago of about 77,000 rafter deaths by 2003.

Next let’s consider Lao.  Once the Lao communist revolution took hold and they got involved in the Vietnam war.  Once the US pulled out and Lao got to focus more on their own state, the genocide really began.   More than 300,000 people, many of Hmong ethnicity have been victims of genocide since 1975, according to the Lao Human Rights Council.  The government, “legally” in their own eyes, killing their own citizens for the sake of collectivism.

Do we really need to even talk about North Korea, a national socialist state?  No.

But we should discuss Venezuela.  They were starting to fall on hard times and Hugo Chavez shows up to the scene with all kinds of promises.  He was part of 2 coups and was arrested.  The president at the time, Perez was impeached and Chavez got pardoned.  He then meets Fidel Castro and they begin an alliance.  As the economy continued to tank, Chavez ran for president, very aggressive and promising all kinds of things for the people of Venezuela.  He became super popular and in 2000, they voted to amended their constitution to extend his presidential term and reduce the power of congress, giving the president more of the power.  He soon began nationalizing industry sectors such as the Oil industry.  He then took control of the news outlets.  Then, he got another constitutional referenced passed which did away with presidential term limits.  When Chavez died, Maduro was barely elected.  The nationalized central bank stopped release economic data.  Maduro called for a constitutional rewrite in 2017 and in 2018 won re-election, all though it was a clearly rigged election.  By this point, roughly 3 Million people fled socialist Venezuela.  Currently, Venezuela has crumbled.  People are starving, their money is worthless, and Maduro has locked down the country, now allowing anyone to come and go.  There are videos smuggled out of Venezuela on the internet that shows Venezuelan military running over protesters with their military vehicles and shooting live rounds into crowds of protesters.  You could say this all started in 1994 entered the phase where the government is killing its citizens 2019 to hold on to their socialist state.[6]

What is Democide?  It can be defined as: “The murder of any person or people by a government, including genocide, politicide, and mass murder.”

A incredible study by University of Hawaii does an exhausted study of Democide [7] [8].  It is important to note, what type of government was seeking and attempting to maintain control and power, when all these deaths occurred.  The absolute most murderous states, were not capitalists…

And just to relay some stats from that study:

169,202,000 Murdered: Summary and Conclusions [20th Century Democide]

So all this brings me back to my original question:   How can anyone vote for massive government and more and more taxes?  It’s simple:

  1. They are ignorant of history.
  2. They are ignorant of human nature when given absolute power.
  3. They have illogical, irrational, uneducated beliefs in a totalitarian state.
  4. They are indoctrinated by socialist authoritarian propaganda.

They claim “the government and the system is evil, so we need to replace everyone in power…”

But, the government is made up of people, who get corrupted by the power.

And the cycle continues as proven by human history of governments and power.

NO OTHER FORM OF GOVERNMENTAL ECONOMIC SYSTEMS has killed more of their own people in human history than socialism (international and national).

Again, Socialism goes toward a totalitarian government that either turns into communism or fascism.  But both are different sides of the SAME COIN.

A perfectly moral and right totalitarian socialist government IS A FANTASY.  It is as real as a flying purple elephant and as logical as a circle square.

BUT what about just increasing Taxes like the NON SOCIALIST, welfare state countries mentioned above?

Let’s talk about this for a second.

What are taxes?

Dictionary.com has it defined as:  “a sum of money demanded by a government for its support or for specific facilities or services, levied upon incomes, property, sales, etc.

What happens if you don’t want to pay your taxes?

The government comes to your house, forcefully removes you, arrests you, and charges you with a crime.  Then, throws you in jail and takes the money anyway.

What is the difference between asking someone to rob someone else so you can have some of the spoils and the government taking people for you and giving you some of their income?

SO, is demanding the government to increase taxes on someone else so you can receive more of their wealth… is that moral and ethical?

How are YOU not using the government to rob rich people so you can receive something in return?

So who’s really greedy?  The rich or you? or both?

Who’s more of a coward?  You, because you demand the government rob someone for you, or you, by robbing them yourself?

The “well it will help those in need” claim:

Then YOU donate.  Conduct a fundraiser and get your community to willingly donate.  Start a national non-profit and get the rest of the country to voluntarily donate.

The ignorance of an economy is obvious here.

Tax the crap out of a business.  That business loses profits.  The business increases the price of it’s goods to compensate for the loss in profits.  The poor people have to spend more money on goods.

Require business to pay X amount of dollars and provide X amount of health care.  That business loses profits.  The business increases the price of it’s goods to compensate for the loss in profits.  The poor people have to spend more money on goods.

It’s not rocket science; its a free market being tampered with by morons that support constantly creating new taxes and raising taxes.

Either way, the low to middle class pay the price for higher taxes…

Not to mention the immoral unethical greedy aspect of desiring to tax someone else more.
